I want to know if we can inspect water wall boiler tubes with phased array ultrasonic ( from outside surface). If the answer is yes, is its sensivirty enough to detect tiny corrosion areas such as 1 mm depth with 6 mm diameter when the tube thickness is 4 mm?

Yes, Phased Array is sensitive enough to detect corrosion if the proper technique is applied. The only limitaion I can imagine would be the access to the tangent areas of the tubes. With our Helix scanner and associated transducers and wedges, we can create a beam profile which would be able to examine those areas.
